We hope you will join us at Old Town Club to hear from Jessica Spencer, who will be presenting on criminal prosecution of elder abuse matters. Specifically, Jessica will focus on financial crimes and related issues, including breach of fiduciary duty and exploitation.

Jessica Spencer is an Assistant District Attorney for Forsyth County.  She is originally from North Carolina’s Outer banks, but she has served as a prosecutor in Forsyth County for the past 15 years.  She is currently assigned to prosecute felony drug crimes, elder abuse cases, high loss white collar crimes, and the occasional homicide.  She prosecuted felony victim crimes for 7 years prior to her current assignment.  Jessica served on Forsyth County’s Elder Abuse Task Force for 6 years, and she was the Financial Crimes Prosecutor of the Year for the IAFCI Carolinas section.  She has presented at multiple conferences and organizations on various topics around the state of North Carolina.  She is currently the board chair for The Parenting Path, a child abuse prevention agency, and is currently a member of the Forsyth County Exchange Club.  Jessica is also the Vice Chair for the Bigs Council of Big Brothers Big Sisters for Forsyth County and has served as a Big Sister for the past 11 years.  Finally, and most importantly, she is a dog mom to one spoiled little pug.
